Protected by forests on one side and hugged by the Tyrrhenian Sea on the other (the beach is just 40 metres away), Lanthia Resort in Santa Maria Navarrese keeps matters elegantly simple with the purpose of allowing the surrounding natural wonderland to do all the talking. Materials from the island such as granite were used to build Lanthia Resort in the 1960s and following a recent revamp it’s become a celebration of Sardinia and its artistic influence (ceramics, original artwork and hand-woven linens abound). Named after a Sardinian town, each of the 28 rooms and suites is indicative of the place they represent and tells a story with their fabrics, paintings and colours. Lanthia Resort restaurant’s aim is to stimulate the senses with its creative spin on traditional local dishes prepared from Sardinian produce as the scents of juniper, fresh salty air and embracing forest fill the air.
