The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, renowned for its exceptional hospitality since 2005, is set to undergo a transformative project as part of LANDMARK's 'Tomorrow’s CENTRAL' initiative. Guests at the revamped LANDMARK will enjoy seamless access to 10 world-class luxury destinations, including Cartier, CHANEL, Dior, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Saint Laurent, Sotheby’s, Tiffany & Co., and Van Cleef & Arpels. In addition, there will be over 200 premium retail experiences and more than 100 gourmet dining options. The hotel will commence its refurbishment in November 2024 but will continue to operate its acclaimed seven Michelin-starred restaurants on the 7th floor. These include the 2-Michelin and Green-starred Amber and SOMM led by Chef Richard Ekkebus, 3-Michelin-starred Sushi Shikon, and 1-Michelin-starred Kappo Rin. Two new dining and bar concepts will also be introduced, featuring a splendid alfresco terrace in Central.

The transformation will extend to the guestrooms and suites, which will be thoughtfully refreshed to complement the enhanced luxury offerings. The Oriental Spa will also see new and revitalized facilities. Renowned Hong Kong designer Joyce Wang, known for her chic residential-style interiors at the hotel, has been tasked with overseeing this exciting redesign phase. The new design will feature exquisite craftsmanship, elevated wellness spaces, and vibrant dining venues.

Greg Liddell, Area Vice President, Operations, expressed enthusiasm about the project: “The return of Joyce’s signature touch will set a global benchmark, and we look forward to unveiling exceptional new experiences as we celebrate the hotel’s 20th anniversary in 2025.”

Michael Smith, Chief Executive of Hongkong Land, added, “The reimagined Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong will be integral to our transformative journey for the LANDMARK, showcasing our vision of a world-class luxury lifestyle and business destination in Central.”

Laurent Kleitman, Group Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, concluded, “Hong Kong has always been the home of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. We are proud to contribute to the city’s renowned dynamism and energy. The renovation of The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong marks the beginning of a series of transformations of our flagship properties worldwide.”
