Now at the helm of Clinique La Prairie, a prestigious player in the wellness and advanced medicine sector, he has successfully merged his luxury expertise with a focus on health.
In this interview, Lorenzo shares the insights to his success and his management philosophy for meeting the demands of discerning clients seeking personalized well-being experiences.
Hello, can you share your journey, from your beginnings to your current role at Clinique La Prairie?
Certainly. I started my journey in Hospitality because I was captivated by the industry’s potential to create unforgettable experiences for people. I have worked in luxury establishments across several countries, including France, Italy, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Morocco, hotels that are part of Leading Hotels of the World. Each experience offered me a unique perspective and helped shape my approach to management. Now, as Managing Director of Clinique La Prairie, my goal is to combine the quality and elegance of luxury service with a strong focus on health and well-being, offering transformative experiences for our guests.
You have managed luxury establishments in diverse regions such as France, Italy, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Morocco. How have these varied experiences influenced your management style and your vision of hospitality?
Working in such diverse regions has taught me the importance of having a flexible and open-minded approach. Each culture has its own expectations, and understanding and respecting them is essential for delivering a truly high-level experience. I’ve learned to create multicultural teams that operate in harmony, valuing differences and transforming them into strengths. This exposure has also led me to develop a vision of emotional Hospitality that goes beyond “luxury Hospitality”: for me, it’s about creating a sense of belonging and an experience that truly responds to each guest’s unique needs and desires.
Currently, you lead Clinique La Prairie, a prestigious establishment dedicated to well-being. In your opinion, what are the main differences between managing a traditional luxury hotel and a wellness center?
Managing a wellness and wellbeing, Longevity Hotel like Clinique La Prairie requires a completely different approach compared to a traditional luxury hotel. In a wellness context, the goal is not only to offer comfort and impeccable service but also to support clients in their health and wellness journey. This means integrating top-tier Longevity services with warm, attentive hospitality, so that every guest feels supported both physically and emotionally. It’s a delicate balance but one that creates a far more profound and lasting experience for our guests. At Clinique La Prairie we want to be a “Life Changer “
What motivated you to shift your career towards health and wellness-focused establishments?
The shift stemmed from a personal reflection: I firmly believe that hospitality can go beyond simply offering comfort. We live in a time when many people are looking for ways to improve their quality of life and are drawn to experiences that promote well-being. I decided to focus on the health and wellness sector because I wanted to contribute to this mission. The chance to help guests enhance their health while offering luxurious, thoughtful service is deeply motivating for me.
As Managing Director, how do you integrate medical aspects with luxury hospitality to provide a unique experience for your clients?
At Clinique La Prairie, we ensure that every aspect of our guests' stay is carefully curated and highly personalized. The integration of Longevity and luxury aspects is based on a close collaboration between doctors, therapists, and hospitality professionals. We make sure that each guest receives a personalized wellness plan and that the experience is seamless, without compromising comfort and sophistication. The goal is to make each guest feel cared for both longevity and emotionally, providing a truly revitalizing 360-degree experience.
Personalization is a major trend in wellness hospitality. How do you ensure that each client feels unique and receives tailored attention at Clinique La Prairie?
Personalization is at the heart of what we do. Every guest has different expectations and needs, so we always start with a thorough assessment, both Longevity and personally and of course in terms of preferences in the hotel service. From there, we create specific programs that range from four Pillars: medical, wellbeing, nutrition and movement catering to each individual's unique needs. Additionally, we make sure that every guest has constant, attentive interaction with staff who are trained to listen and adapt to client preferences, ensuring that the experience is genuinely unique and tailored.
Finally, on a more personal note, if you were...
- A destination: I would probably choose Italy my country, which blends tradition with quality and innovation much like I strive to do in my work by combining innovation with the classic values of hospitality. Italy also because is a small country ( 0,5 % of the earth’s surface), with the greatest biodiversity and 70% of the world’s artistic heritage. This means excellence and for me luxury nowadays is being able to enjoy excellence.
- A piece of music : I would see myself as a Rock song. The strong vibrations stimulate me and create new ideas for my work.
- A book: I would pick, “Excellence Wins” a book about growth, exploration, and the search for deeper meaning, which resonates with my personal and professional journey.
- A dish: I would be Pasta with cherry tomatoes, is simple and direct, like a good Manager : there is nothing superfluous, but there is expertise in the balance of flavors. It is a dish that requires attention to details—such as the choice of tomatoes, the right cooking point of the pasta and the preparation of the sauce and represents the solidity of Italian roots, while being easily understandable and appreciated by all.
