A Major Step in Manufacturing Integration
Spanning 20,000 square meters and home to 400 team members, the new facility stands adjacent to Thélios’ original Manifattura site, which has specialized in acetate frame production since 2018. Together, they form a cutting-edge 40,000-square-meter hub; an integrated center of excellence that elevates Italian eyewear craftsmanship to new heights.
A Thoughtful Transformation of Legacy Infrastructure
This expansion follows the acquisition of a former Safilo site in 2023. Since then, Thélios has fully renovated the premises while integrating around 250 former Safilo employees. The transformation was carried out without halting production, ensuring continuity and stability throughout. From communal spaces and technical systems to lighting design and landscaped green areas, every detail was conceived to offer a modern, high-quality environment for employees.
Uniting Know-How to Fuel Innovation
With this addition, Thélios consolidates its technical and creative capabilities under one roof. This enables smoother collaboration between teams, streamlining operations and boosting innovation across all stages of production. The Manifattura now employs over 1,300 individuals; a testament to the company’s growing impact and commitment to excellence.
A Home for Luxury Eyewear Artisanship
Located in the heart of the Veneto region, Longarone now stands as a model for high-end eyewear manufacturing. It reflects Thélios’ dedication to Italian craftsmanship for the most prestigious maisons of the LVMH Group, including Dior, Fendi, Celine, Loewe, Bulgari, and others, as well as for its own labels, Barton Perreira and Vuarnet.
