Conceived by renowned curator and fashion historian Florence Müller, and brought to life with scenographic artistry by Shohei Shigematsu of OMA, the exhibition reflects Louis Vuitton’s ongoing commitment to innovation, artistry, and cultural dialogue.
Twelve Immersive Spaces, One Story of Legacy
Unfolding across twelve spectacular rooms, Visionary Journeys offers an immersive encounter with over 1,000 pieces, including historic sketches, iconic leather goods, original artworks, and installations. Among these, more than 200 items are specific to Japan, highlighting the Maison’s deep-rooted bond with the country.
The exhibition traces Louis Vuitton’s evolution in reimagining the Art of Travel—blending fashion, cultural expression, and craftsmanship into a singular vision that continues to inspire across generations.
A Deep Connection Between Japan and the Maison
More than a retrospective, Visionary Journeys honors a long-standing cultural dialogue between Louis Vuitton and Japan. The exhibition reflects on the Maison’s early inspirations drawn from Japanese aesthetics, as well as its contemporary collaborations with leading Japanese artists, including Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama, Rei Kawakubo, and NIGO®.
These collaborations embody a shared dedication to pushing creative boundaries while preserving tradition; values that continue to shape Louis Vuitton’s identity in today’s global cultural landscape.
