Working pattern: 5 days over 7 days (including some weekends and Bank Holidays)

We are currently recruiting for a Fishing Warden to join the team at Ashford Castle, Ireland’s first Forbes Five Star Hotel. Key responsibilities of the Fishing Warden will include, but not limited to:

• Patrol and manage the Cong River Fishery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and estate standards.
• Schedule and oversee fishing sessions, beat rotations, and permit issuance, maintaining accurate logs and catch records.
• Liaise with local anglers, fisheries authorities, and enforcement bodies to protect the fishery and prevent illegal activity.
• Ensure safety, signage, and environmental conditions are maintained to a high standard.
• Provide fly fishing lessons, demonstrations, and guided experiences to guests in line with Forbes Five Star service.
• Deliver exceptional guest care, answering fishing-related queries and enhancing the visitor experience.
• Communicate regularly with management on operations and any incidents.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Uphold Ashford Castle policies, health & safety standards, and contribute to sustainability efforts.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, teamwork, and initiative always.
