The Strato is the reflection of the life of a family, the BOIX-VIVES family, entirely dedicated to the mountains. The hotel, built on a mountainside and opened in 2009, owes its name to the mythical "Strato" ski, imagined in 1965 by Mr Laurent BOIX VIVES, then head of Rossignol, and which accompanied generations of skiers throughout the world. The number of rooms and suites has been deliberately limited (2 rooms, 23 suites, 7 flats and a private chalet) to preserve the warm family atmosphere of the place. The Strato's decoration, entrusted to the Héritiers, is intended to be chic, comfortable and sporty. Its restaurant, the Baumanière 1850, has been awarded a Michelin star. The Strato is also a SOTHYS Spa of more than 800 m2 with a heated indoor swimming pool, opened by large bay windows on the landscape of the neighbouring peaks. To sum up, the Strato is a spirit of Family but also of Service and Aestheticism.
