A legacy of responsibility rooted in innovation and impact

This B Corp™ certification not only acknowledges Clarins' long-standing values but also reinforces the mission it has followed since 1954: combining scientific innovation, business performance, and a meaningful impact on the planet and people.

Only 2% of all certified organizations worldwide are large companies. By joining this select community, Clarins demonstrates that responsible business practices and economic success can go hand in hand.

“A source of collective pride,” says Clarins Managing Director Virginie Courtin

"Obtaining the B Corp™ label is a tremendous source of collective pride for all Clarins teams who strive daily to uphold sustainable values," shares Virginie Courtin, Managing Director of Clarins Group.

"This recognition fuels our motivation to go even further. As a third-generation family business, Clarins believes in legacy and responsibility. B Corp™ reflects this belief — it aligns with our commitment to future generations and strengthens our promise to innovate for a more sustainable tomorrow."

Concrete progress on environmental and social fronts

Clarins' journey toward sustainable beauty is supported by measurable progress:
80% of plant ingredients will be certified organic by the end of 2025.

Two dedicated agricultural ‘Domaines’ focus on regenerative farming and full traceability.

A 48% reduction in carbon emissions between 2019 and 2024 (excluding financial services).

98% of freight is handled by alternatives to air transport.

Beyond sustainability: governance, equity, and transparency

The B Corp™ label also highlights Clarins' commitment to ethical governance and social impact:

62% of leadership roles are held by women, with a gender equality index of 94/100 in France.

23 fair trade partnerships and CSR assessments of suppliers (100% goal by 2030).

Long-standing initiatives such as the Prix Clarins for Children (since 1997), Fondation Arthritis (since 1989), and 45 million school meals donated since 2011.

Full ingredient traceability through the Clarins TRUST platform, combined with 100% French production and over 250 quality tests per product.

Looking ahead: a shared vision for a better planet

Valid for three years, the B Corp™ certification is not an end, but a promise of continued progress. With its purpose, “Making life more beautiful and passing on a more beautiful planet,” Clarins reaffirms its belief: true value creation only exists when it contributes positively to people and the planet.
