A Real Estate Sector Driven by Sustained Demand

Hospitality is steadily establishing itself as a major real estate asset class, outperforming retail and office properties. In 2025, hotels accounted for 8% of global real estate investment. In Europe, 90% of investors planned to maintain or increase their hotel investments in 2026. This momentum reflects travellers’ continued interest in stays and experiences.

Operational Flexibility as a Driver of Profitability

Unlike traditional real estate investments, hotels are also operating businesses. Owners can adjust room rates daily in response to demand to optimise revenue and profitability. This flexibility also helps them manage inflationary pressures. According to Camil Yazbeck, the expansion of the global middle class and the growth of international travel further strengthen the sector’s outlook.

Diversified Revenue Streams and Strategic Support

Hotels can generate revenue through multiple channels, including restaurants, wellness facilities, workspaces and branded residences. These services help attract both travellers and local communities. To support investors, Accor draws on its international brand portfolio and integrated service platform. In 2025, the group signed agreements for more than 500 hotels, representing 86,000 rooms worldwide, confirming the strength of its development strategy.
