The venue chosen for this spectacular event was the heart of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, once a famed naval shipping facility and now a hub of urban innovation. Here, an unassuming warehouse was transformed into a world of rustic romance infused with modern sophistication. Drawing inspiration from creative spaces and artist retreats, the Spring 2024 runway backdrop resembled a reimagined artist’s loft. This loft came alive with glimmering chandeliers, artfully draped canvas, and organic textures of reclaimed wood, plaster, and fine muslin, creating a rustic yet romantic ambiance.
The Spring 2024 Collection was a tribute to the freedom of personal style, embodying the essence of a woman who was timeless and modern, bold and romantic, sophisticated and vibrant—all rooted in authenticity. The classic spring palette of blue and white was reinvented with eclectic combinations, featuring artistic denims such as embroidered denim pants, an ombre floral denim maxiskirt, and a denim jacket adorned with rhinestones, patches, feathers, and embroidery. A striking palette of blacks and gold followed, embellished with intricate metallic weavings and reimagined iconic pieces with a modern artful touch. The grand finale showcased daring combinations of textures, colors, and eclectic jewelry, infusing timeless silhouettes with sophistication and romanticism. The collection was complemented by a range of romantic accessories, including bags, shoes, and jewelry, with the show's opening featuring Ralph Lauren’s latest bag, the RL 888.
Following the runway presentation, an elegant and intimate seated dinner was held in a rustic barn setting, inspired by Mr. Lauren’s Double RL Ranch in Colorado. The bespoke menu featured Polo Bar Classics, inspired by Ralph Lauren's personal favorites, including grilled lobster salad, RRL filet mignon, grilled branzino, and Ralph's Brownie a la mode for dessert. The table setting was adorned with bouquets of heirloom roses in blush pink and faded sepia tones, providing a painterly mix of colors against a backdrop of cream and kohl linens and artisanal floral earthenware, paired with crystal and silver. Classic Hurricanes in brass completed the tablespace with warm candlelight.
