Six Senses support for Bangkok people

No one has escaped the shock waves of the Covid-19 pandemic but the poorest communities - where low-income households rely on daily wages to support their families making social distancing an impossibility - are the hardest hit. Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas has partnered with Covid Relief Bangkok which is coordinating a relief effort to distribute essential items (masks, soaps, hand sanitizers, and food) to the most vulnerable groups in Bangkok, working with Thai health authorities to maintain protective measures including social distancing to prevent the spread of the virus.

The partnership has been spearheaded by Director of Eat With Six Senses Celia Lam, herself a Bangkok resident. It began as an internal food initiative involving fellow Six Senses corporate hosts through their Mission Wellness initiative who were quick to do what they know best – and what is so deeply ingrained in the brand’s culture of being responsible and caring – to come together and provide support, compassion and kindness to others.

Celia’s memo to all hosts explained: “Rice is one of the most important staple foods, feeding over half of the world’s population. With #CovidReliefBangkok, we can support our communities that urgently need our help. All it takes is one – one bowl, one bag of rice. Together we will make a difference.”

But why stop there? Since the beginning of the pandemic, Celia has become a firm favorite on the @SixSensesHotelsResortsSpas Facebook channel, offering much needed food inspiration by streaming live, easy-to-follow cooking classes as part of the #AtHomeWithSixSenses campaign. Her Rocket Fuel immune booster recipe was one of the first videos to debut.

With that in mind, teaming up with the @socialgiver platform, Six Senses developed three GiveCard offerings for anyone wanting to support Covid Relief Bangkok and enjoy some totally unique Six Senses experiences at the same time.
