Six Senses will mark its entry into the UAE market with a 60-room hotel and 162 branded residences along a private stretch of beach on Palm Jumeirah’s West Crescent. The strategic location speaks to the rich cultural and historical links between Dubai and one of its most precious natural resources: coral reefs and the ecosystems they support. Six Senses The Palm, Dubai is set to open in late 2024.

Coral is the main inspiration for the architectural narrative, with the undulating rooflines, silhouettes, and cellular facades resembling its natural form and beauty. This creates outward-looking environments that are shaded and protected from the sun. They offer a high degree of privacy yet maximum visibility through the buildings towards the Gulf and Dubai skyline. During the last few years, Dubai has ramped up its sustainability efforts and Six Senses The Palm, Dubai is an opportunity to become a benchmark for wellness while supporting sustainable development and the local communities who will come together to bring it to life.

Modern-day Majlis

As the popularity of tranquil beachfront locations grows, the Six Senses hotel and branded residences will offer a new dimension in community living, and further elevate Dubai’s burgeoning real estate and hospitality sector. The Majlis is a central part of Emirati life. Community and ceremony will therefore be foremost at Six Senses The Palm, Dubai, enhanced by over 60,000 square feet of amenities. Facilities include restaurants, bars, indoor cinema, pool, squash court, kids’ club, and games room, library, shared workspace, function, and meeting rooms.

The social and wellness club will offer a longevity clinic, IV lounge, biohack room including cryotherapy and intermittent hypoxi treatment, biomarker screening, gym, and underground Six Senses Spa, which is also inspired by the textured coral reefs under the sea. Careful and considered lighting design incorporates natural light to create a range of moods and immersive experiences. Biophilic design elements will also encourage natural circadian rhythms throughout the design, be it above, or below ground. Recovery treatments and reconnection programs are key to helping guests, members and residents thrive.

Another highlight of the resort is the central garden. This naturally shaded landscape forms a series of mini jebels (hills), meandering valley paths, and romantic courtyards. It will be a hub for activities including badminton, yoga, and football, all accessed via bridges, stepping-stone paths and tunnels wrapped in native beach planting. The main pools and sun decks are banked by undulating native planting, which flows down to the beach.

Commenting on the announcement and the brand’s foray into the UAE market, Chief Executive Officer of Six Senses Neil Jacobs said,

“Six Senses The Palm, Dubai marks a new milestone for the brand as it enters this remarkable destination. From the bottom of the ocean to the signature rooftop bar, our concept celebrates the natural beauty of the Gulf, the solidarity and hospitality between host and visitors, and the journey that Dubai has been on, with its unique Emirati traditions and bubbling optimism for the future.”

Residences that merge the interior and exterior, contrasting desert and sea

The residential offering will include 162 branded residences including Penthouses, Royal Suites, and Sky Villas with pools. There are also several five-bedroom Signature Villas, each offering a garden, infinity pool, and palm-framed views to the beach. Natural ponds and large Wadi boulders will add to the unique sanctuary character of the landscaping, where groves of palms scatter out to the beach and private hammocks can be hung in the shade from the fronds. The residences will respect the natural landscape through color and texture, completed by an understated yet sophisticated material palette of renders, stones, and metals that reflect the marine environment that surrounds the site.

Along with the spacious and landscaped green areas, residents will have access to the hotel’s facilities and full use of various leisure, sports, business, and recreational facilities such as a micro farm, tennis courts, padel courts, and dedicated running tracks.

Commenting on the partnership, Rahail Aslam, Founder and CEO of Select Group, said:

“We are delighted to partner with Six Senses to introduce the highly acclaimed brand to the UAE. Six Senses has a distinct proposition with a strong heritage, coupled with its inherent commitment to sustainability and wellness, which we believe is a perfect fit for the Palm Jumeirah community.”
