DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Takes a proactive approach to the cleaning and servicing of public, rooms & back of house areas activity of the Housekeeping Department, anticipating potential opportunities.
· Maintains effective communication within the department and ensure that the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeping Supervisors are kept well informed of any problems/queries that have arisen.
· Reports any problems/complaints to the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Supervisors.
· Is responsible for the cleanliness of the public areas, back of house & guestrooms (according to the established procedures and hotel standard) and replenishment of supplies in guestrooms and ensures the comfort of all Hotel guests & colleagues as established by Hotel procedures and standards.
· Adheres to all house rules and departmental policies and procedures.
· Ensures that the work areas, equipment and supplies are kept in a clean and orderly manner at all times and will report any maintenance defects directly to the concerned department.
· Reports any valuable items found in check out rooms or everywhere else or left lying in the open to Housekeeping office and direct supervisor.
· Reports any malfunctions immediately. Reports any guest’s special requests/preferences to Floor Housekeeper so that guest history can be updated.
· Drives the Corinthia values and philosophy.
· Works with the Housekeeping team to implement a progressive, professional and committed team environment that supports the department’s strategic objectives.
· Leads by example in setting positive relations with all hotel departments, ensuring issues are managed efficiently and appropriately to maintain the smooth running of the operation at all times.
· Supports the philosophy of a” live and breathe quality” of all standards of the Hotel to the housekeeping team.
Experience:
Bring your expertise as a Room Attendant, Back of House & Public Areas to our team, ideally with prior experience in a similar-sized property.
Skills & Knowledge:
· Fluent in written and spoken in English or French
· Fully knowledgeable in Excel/Word, Opera
