Demi Chef de Partie Asian Cuisine (m/f)

SEASON 2025 - Starting late February 2025 early March 2025 until November 2025 

For our Vila Joya Sea Kitchen we are looking for personable, passionate and driven Demi Chefs de Partie for the Asian Kitchen.  

Key responsibilities: 

  • Support & assist the Chef de Partie  
  • Step in to oversee the section during the Chef de Partie’s absence, maintaining the same level of quality and efficiency 
  • Execute mise en place and cooking tasks as per instructions 
  • Ensure and maintain precision, consistency and attention to detail in every dish 
  • Work closely with other sections and chefs to ensure smooth service 
  • Guide and train Commis Chefs, ensuring they understand and perform their tasks correctly 
  • Work collaboratively with other sections to ensure a smooth service 
  • Adapt to last-minute changes, special guest requests, or dietary requests with efficiency and creativity 
  • Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards 
     

Profil

Our ideal candidate must possess: 

  • Fluent in English, German and/or Portuguese are a plus 
  • Experience in fine dining or Asian Cuisine are a plus 
  • Formal culinary training or equivalent hands-on experience 
  • Familiarity with ingredient quality control and mise en place management 
  • Keen attention for detail, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish 
  • Excellent organization skills and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across the kitchen team 
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high-energy environment 
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining impeccable hygiene standards 
  • Passionate about gastronomy, with a commitment to upholding the highest culinary standards 
  • Dedication to continuous learning and professional development in the culinary arts
