Rabih Zein has been appointed Cluster General Manager for Fairmont Hotels and Resorts’ two coastal properties in the UAE – Ajman and Fujairah. Having joined Fairmont Fujairah as General Manager in 2019, Zein’s new role managing an additional hotel recognises his dedication within the global luxury brand.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Zein is stepping into this position following a progression within the travel and hospitality industries. Holding the title of General Manager for more than 10 years, his previous hotels include Park Inn by Radisson in Muscat and Nice, and Raddison Blu Hotel in Sharjah, Brussels and Disneyland Paris.
Prior to these operational roles, Zein enjoyed a career within the Sales & Marketing realm, including Global Director of Leisure Sales for Radisson Hotel Group. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Marketing & Tourism from Nice University, France as well as a qualification in High Performance Financial & Hotel Asset Management from Cornell University.
For the past two years, Zein has been the driving force behind Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort’s success, particularly throughout turbulence of Covid-19. By implementing elevated hygiene and prevention measures for safer, worry-free stays, guests have been able to enjoy the luxury beachfront resort with peace of mind. Other key achievements include transforming the resort into a top staycation destination in the UAE, leading to recognition by the Fujairah Tourism body and achieving the #1 ranking on TripAdvisor in the emirate.

Obtaining leadership of Fairmont Ajman and managing a total of 433 keys, Zein will work alongside the recently appointed Cluster General Manager of the group’s three UAE hotels – Dubai, Ajman and Fujairah – to shape the operational, strategic and revenue performance for the two properties. Zein will implement the best practice from Fairmont Fujairah within Fairmont Ajman and drive synergy between the properties to promote both destinations.
