Forbes Travel Guide has recognised Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita as a Five-Star Hotel, the guide’s highest rating, in the first year for Forbes Travel Guide to visit and review properties on the island.

Each year, Forbes Travel Guide scours the globe to discover the world’s best hotels, restaurants and spas for its annual Star Awards, with ratings assigned by a team of anonymous Forbes Travel Guide inspectors. The rating emphasises the graciousness, thoughtfulness and personalised service of each property. For the 62nd annual list, the inspectors checked into each hotel for a minimum of two nights to test more than 900 objective standards.

General Manager Michel Volk comments: “I am so incredibly proud to have been recognised by Forbes Travel Guide with this Five-Star rating. The designation is held in the highest esteem across the luxury hospitality sector due to its high level, exacting requirements, and it is testament to all of our wonderful employees here in Mauritius that we have been able to achieve this rating in the very first year.”

Located on the east coast of Mauritius, Four Seasons Resort occupies 64 tropical acres and overlooks the tranquil Indian Ocean lagoon. Private pool villas provide a sanctuary for families and couples alike, while there is no end to recreational activities thanks to an overwater Spa, an array of watersports, tennis, access to two championship golf courses and both kids’ and teen clubs. An exclusive beach on Ile aux Cerfs is the latest edition to the Resort’s amenities, where a feet-in-the-sand beach grill complements the Resort’s choice of three restaurants.

“It is difficult to earn a Forbes Travel Guide rating, and all our Star-Rated winners have shown how incredibly deserving they are of their accolades by demonstrating sheer dedication in their passion for service,” says Filip Boyen, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide.
