Laurent Claquin Named Group Chief Brand Officer at Kering

Kering is excited to announce the appointment of Laurent Claquin as the new Group Chief Brand Officer, starting on July 1st, 2024. Claquin will become a member of the Executive Committee, reporting directly to Jean-Marc Duplaix, Kering’s Deputy CEO responsible for Operations and Finance.

This newly established position aims to strengthen Kering’s corporate brand image and enhance its global visibility and influence. Laurent Claquin will oversee the definition and coordination of Kering’s internal and external communications across all regions, ensuring a cohesive strategy and unified editorial calendar. His role will be pivotal in maintaining consistent messaging across all platforms to elevate Kering’s brand presence.

Claquin will also assist Kering’s Houses by boosting their communication strategies and organizing high-profile events to support their initiatives. His deep-rooted experience within the company will be instrumental in driving these efforts.

                                           

Laurent Claquin: A Distinguished Career

Laurent Claquin has held several prominent roles since joining Kering in 2005, including Senior VP of Communications and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility. He has been the President of Kering Americas since 2012 and served as CEO of Tomas Maier from 2017 to 2018. Before Kering, Claquin worked as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers and held significant positions at the Jeu de Paume, Centre Pompidou, and as Chief of Staff for the French Minister of Culture and Communication. He is a graduate of ESC Rennes School of Business, Exeter University, and Université Paris VIII.
