A Modern Marvel in Mayfair
Mandarin Oriental Mayfair features 50 guestrooms and suites, 77 private residences, and the London debut of award-winning Chef Akira Back. The hotel also offers two stylish bars and a serene spa, all encapsulated in a unique Vierendeel structure. The building's façade, adorned with the UK's longest burnt red brick 'baguettes,' is inspired by the Georgian architecture surrounding the hotel, creating a contemporary yet classic aesthetic.
Luxurious Interiors with a Nod to Tradition
Inside, the hotel boasts 50 exquisitely crafted rooms and suites by British Studio Indigo, who have seamlessly merged Mandarin Oriental’s Asian heritage with local elements. Each room is designed like a haute couture jewelry box, featuring a rich palette of emerald green, regal maroon, and tranquil turquoise. Luxurious materials such as fine timbers, marbles, and bespoke fabrics are complemented by metallic finishes in brass, bronze, and gold. The rooms also feature House of de Gournay hand-painted silk wallpaper, inspired by the magnolia trees of Hanover Square and the hotel’s oriental heritage.
A Culinary Experience with Akira Back
The public spaces of the hotel, including the reception, atrium, Akira Back restaurant, ABar Lounge, and Dosa, have been brought to life by Tokyo-based design agency Curiosity. Chef Akira Back’s restaurant offers a thrilling dining experience with signature dishes like the ‘AB Tuna Pizza.’ The 14-seater Dosa presents contemporary Korean cuisine in an intimate, counter-style setting, while the ABar Lounge provides a vibrant spot for drinks with an artistic cocktail program and live DJ performances.
Wellness Redefined
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair introduces innovative wellness treatments to the UK, including binaural biohacking experiences and exclusive spa therapies inspired by Mayfair. Facilities include a 25-meter swimming pool, sauna, vitality pools, experience showers, a state-of-the-art gym, and more. Signature treatments like the ‘Tranquillity of Mayfair’ massage and ‘Elegance of Mayfair’ facial offer a holistic approach to relaxation and rejuvenation.
