"Chengdu's culinary scene is undergoing a gentle transformation: young talents are driving innovation, exploring diverse options, and pushing the boundaries of the industry," said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide. "These positive factors demonstrate the vitality and potential of the region's culinary scene. The diverse array of dishes, catering to both local and international diners, is truly exciting".

RESTAURANT CO- PROMOTED TO ONE MICHELIN STAR

This year's edition of the Guide features 13 MICHELIN-Starred restaurants, with Restaurant Co- earning its first Star. Led by a young team, the restaurant offers an innovative tasting menu with novel recipes crafted from seasonal ingredients and quality produce from across China. Noteworthy is the house-made sourdough, which uses a 20-year-old starter for a complex, crispy, and spongy result.
Additionally, Xin Rong Ji and Yu Zhi Lan have retained their Two MICHELIN Stars, while 10 restaurants, including authentic Sichuan establishments and others specializing in Fujian and European cuisine, have maintained their One Star distinction. Mi Xun Teahouse was also recognized once again with the MICHELIN Green Star for its "farm-to-table" vegetarian dishes and support for local wineries and farms near the giant panda habitat.

NEW BIB GOURMAND AND MICHELIN SELECTED RESTAURANTS

In a scene marked by dedication and perseverance, four restaurants have been newly added to the Bib Gourmand selection. These include Bai Nian Fen Zheng Niu Rou and Zeng Niu Rou (Qingyang), both known for their Sichuan beef dishes; Cuo Xia, a Chaozhou cuisine eatery; and Long Sen Yuan (Qingyang), a hot pot restaurant that has been operating for over two decades. Five additional restaurants—Infinite Luck, Qie Fang Xiang, Song Chuan, Wanyan, and Aurore—were also added to the main selection for the first time.

THREE YOUNG CULINARY TALENTS RECEIVE MICHELIN SPECIAL AWARDS

The Guide's inspectors also highlighted three rising professionals with special awards. Chef You Jie CHEN of Bib Gourmand Restaurant Cuo Xia received the MICHELIN Young Chef Award for his dedication to preserving Chaoshan’s culinary heritage. Mr. Enoch ZHANG from MICHELIN Selected Restaurant Brustin was honored with the MICHELIN Sommelier Award for his expertise in wine pairing. Finally, Ms. Grace LONG from One MICHELIN Star Restaurant Co- received the MICHELIN Service Award for her exceptional professional competence and unwavering enthusiasm as the restaurant manager.
