Nigo, renowned designer, showcased his latest women's and men's collection on the Passerelle Debilly, the bridge connecting the Palais de Tokyo and the Eiffel Tower. The collection seamlessly merges contemporary creativity with the rich heritage of Kenzo Takada, drawing inspiration from diverse influences and accompanied by the nostalgic sounds of City Pop, evoking Nigo's formative years in Japan.

Nigo's collection effortlessly combines elements from Japanese and Western wardrobes, transforming traditional garments into modern reinterpretations. The classic uwagi judo jacket becomes a chore jacket, while the seigaiha wave print finds new life on indigo denim. Even the kimono undergoes a metamorphosis, evolving into a stylish down puffer jacket. The Japanese cutting style introduces kimono sleeves to blazers, while trench coats adopt a collarless design, and tailored jackets feature lapel-less constructions.

At the heart of the collection lies the Kenzo PXT sneaker, symbolizing the meeting of Eastern and Western aesthetics. Floral prints, a beloved hallmark of Kenzo Takada's legacy, permeate the collection. The Kenzo rose, drawing inspiration from the brand's archives, adorns denim pieces, dresses, and Nigo's signature camouflage print. Additionally, Japanese graphic artist Verdy, a longtime friend of Nigo, offers a fresh interpretation of the Kenzo Paris logo, which is prominently featured on clothing and utility bags.

Nigo's collection embraces a sense of summer freedom with linen suits and body-skimming silhouettes that play with transparent effects. The fusion of colors and floral motifs creates an exuberant harmony, blurring the boundaries between feminine and masculine designs. The garments are both ready-to-wear and irresistibly seductive, capturing the essence of Kenzo's style.

Nigo's latest collection for Kenzo exemplifies a harmonious blend of East and West, drawing inspiration from Japanese and Western fashion traditions. The collection pays homage to Kenzo Takada's legacy while infusing it with Nigo's unique vision and contemporary influences. Fluidity, freedom, and an exuberant harmony of colors and floral motifs define this captivating collection, offering a truly seductive and ready-to-wear experience.
