From June 5 to 7, 2025, the iconic property welcomed an exclusive circle of international guests to experience its revitalized charm through a series of immersive events celebrating the new vision of Riviera sophistication.
The celebratory weekend also served as the official preview of Villa Beatrice, Belmond’s majestic private summer retreat, which will open in July, offering elevated privacy and bespoke hospitality in one of Portofino’s most privileged locations.

The grand reopening drew an eclectic mix of influential figures from film, fashion, music, and sport. Among those in attendance were Jeff Goldblum, who also performed, actress Kelly Rutherford, director Baz Luhrmann, model Tina Kunakey, designer Luke Edward Hall, costume designer Catherine Martin, and former tennis champion Ana Ivanović.
The festivities kicked off on June 5 with a chic aperitivo and al fresco dinner on Portofino’s historic Piazzetta, followed by a culinary experience at DaV Mare, the celebrated restaurant at Splendido Mare led by the Cerea family.

On June 6, guests returned to Splendido for an enchanting evening that began with cocktails at the newly opened Baratta Sedici, continued with a gourmet dinner by Chef Corrado Corti at the panoramic La Terrazza, and culminated in a live jazz performance by Jeff Goldblum and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, with vocals by Emma Smith, followed by a lively DJ set by Disco Bambino.

Throughout their stay, guests were invited to discover Splendido’s refreshed interiors: redesigned rooms and suites exuding Italian glamour, a cinematic pool terrace with sweeping views of the bay, and the country’s first permanent Dior Spa, seamlessly blending wellness and Riviera allure.
