Celebrating genevan essence and horological DNA
The opening holds particular significance as it coincides with the Maison’s 30th anniversary year.
“It feels particularly special to be opening the Lounge in our 30th anniversary year. Geneva has been our home for the past three decades and it’s a European city that encapsulates so much heritage, prestige, and Swiss watchmaking history. We’ve designed the Boutique to celebrate that Genevan essence, while also evoking our own horological DNA and sharing our passion with a global community of friends,” says David Chaumet, the CEO of Roger Dubuis.
The architectural design ensures a flawless journey between the different areas, maintaining an intimate atmosphere throughout the space.
Craftsmanship and connection: the immersive experience
Upon stepping inside, guests are immediately drawn to a gravity window that captures attention and introduces the expressive design and technical innovation central to Roger Dubuis’ watchmaking.
The main lounge area invites guests to feel at home, facilitating conversation, story-trading, and connection with expert Boutique staff who converse in multiple languages, including English, French, Arabic, and Chinese. To foster a shared passion for watchmaking and epicurean moments, this area also features a bar and a carefully curated wine cellar, showcasing the founders' favorite and most sought-after Swiss wines.
A nod to heritage: the place du molard tribute
Attention to detail is evident in the design of the lounge wall, which is crafted in wood and features luminous squares. This detail is inspired by the glowing cobblestones of the Place du Molard outside, which feature welcoming messages set inside them. Inside the boutique, the wooden squares mirror this effect, featuring words inspired by the Roger Dubuis identity.
The journey culminates in a presentation room, allowing for in-depth introductions to the Maison’s timepiece collections. For a limited time, this room features many of the Maison’s most recent novelties, such as the Excalibur Biretrograde Calendar and the Knights of the Round Table Merlin The Enchanter, alongside original watches from Mr. Roger Dubuis himself.
Throughout the year, Le Lounge will serve as a dynamic hub, offering special services, exclusive access to limited editions, and regular transformations to celebrate the Maison's high-profile collaborations and launches, spanning motorsport and art, truly enlivening the distinct high watchmaking of Roger Dubuis.
