Next year will be a busy one for Six Senses, as the company will be opening five new hotels, starting with Six Senses Shaharut in Isreal in March. Here’s what you need to know:

Six Senses Shaharut (opening March 2021)

This new-build resort is nestled on a cliffside showcasing views of the Negev Desert in Israel. The resort is a three-and-a-half-hours’ drive from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, or a 50-minute flight from Tel Aviv to Ramon Airport near Eliat. The desert setting offers a wide variety of activities and sites to explore. Adventures further afield include excursions to Petra, Masada, Mount Karkom and the Dead Sea.

Six Senses Ibiza (opening all 2021)

Located on 25 acres of the northern tip of Ibiza’s Cala Xarraca Bay, Six Senses Ibiza will have 134 guest accommodations, including townhouses, pools suites and beach cave units, spa, a residential community and panoramic sunset views.

Six Senses Rome (opening late 2021)

Overlooking Via Del Corso and just blocks from the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon, Six Senses Rome will have 95 guestrooms and suites, a Six Senses Spa, restaurant, outdoor courtyard garden and rooftop terrace showcasing 360-degree views of the city. The hotel building, dating back to the 18th century and UNESCO-listed, is being restored with interiors by award-winning designer Patricia Urquiola.

Six Senses New York (opening 2021)

Rising above Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood along the High Line, Six Senses New York is located in one of renowned architect Bjark Ingels’ latest creations, The XI. The hotel will have guestrooms and suites designed by Parisian firm Gilles & Boissier, two restaurants and a Six Senses Spa.

Six Senses Fort Barwara (Opening 2021)

Built within the walls of a 14th century fort in Rajasthan, just outside of Jaipur, this Six Senses sanctuary was originally owned by the Rajasthani Royal Family. The conservation effort incorporates a palace and two temples within the fort’s walls and is being designed to reinterpret the regale ambience of a bygone era that dates back 700 years. The resort will include 48 suites, two restaurants, traditional gardens and water features reflecting the fort's royal history, and a 30,000-square-foot Six Senses Spa.
