At Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria Brussels, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Trainee you will become a valued member of our Finance team, supporting essential accounting functions across various domains. With guidance from our experienced professionals, you will gain hands-on exposure to the inner workings of hotel finance in a high-end hospitality environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable:

• Assist with invoice processing, coding, and approval workflows.
• Support vendor reconciliation and follow-up on outstanding issues.
• Help maintain accurate AP records and filing systems.

Accounts Receivable:

• Assist in billing and collections processes.
• Reconcile daily cash, credit card, and direct bill transactions.

Income Audit:

• Review daily revenue reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with reconciling point-of-sale and property management system reports.
• Support in investigating and resolving discrepancies in revenues.

Cost Control:

• Assist in inventory counts and updating stock records.
• Help track and analyze food & beverage, operating supplies, & other departmental costs.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and reporting.

Other:

• Assist the Assistant Director of Finance and Director of Finance in preparation for monthly financial reporting.
• Participate in internal audits, policy compliance reviews, and process improvement projects.
• Assist with data entry, financial analysis, and ad-hoc tasks as needed.
