Designed by the London-based interior design studio Paolo Moschino, the Stravinskij Bar is nestled in Rome’s finest green oasis at Hotel de Russie. The bar exudes the timeless elegance of La Dolce Vita, featuring traditional Roman mosaic garden trellis that harmonizes with the hotel’s Giardino Segreto. The bar's sinuous lines reflect the surrounding architecture, seamlessly blending contemporary design with Roman heritage. Inspired by the works of Alberto Giacometti, the modern pergola structure adds a fresh look while respecting the original architectural vision of Giuseppe Valadier.
Hotel de Russie has historically welcomed some of the 20th century's most influential minds, including Pablo Picasso, Jean Cocteau, and the composer Igor Stravinskij, after whom the bar is named.
The new cocktail menu by Salvatore Calabrese is inspired by the natural aromas of the hotel's Secret Garden and Stravinskij's opera "The Rite of Spring." The menu features eleven unique cocktails, including:
- Stravinskij Signature Cocktail (€25.00): A blend of sparkling wine, wild berries, saffron flowers, citrus oils, passion fruit, and aromatic spices.
- Esmeralda (€25.00): A mix of Espolon Tequila, Acqua Bianca Liqueur, green pepper syrup, and fresh lime juice.
- Garden Punch (€25.00): Combining Appleton 12 Y.O. Rum, Amaro Braulio, Grand Marnier, Champagne, and a mix of herbs and spices.
- Pine Margarita (€25.00): Featuring Espolon Tequila, smoked fresh lime juice, Pino Mugo, and Grand Marnier.
- Artichoke Garibaldi (€25.00): A Roman twist on the classic Garibaldi with Campari, Cynar, orange bitter, and fresh mandarin juice.
- Negroni Svegliato (€25.00): A unique Negroni with Hoxton Gin, Campari, and coffee-infused vermouth.
Hotel de Russie, a historic jewel of the Rocco Forte Hotel group, is ideally situated on Via del Babuino between Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo. The hotel’s origins date back to the early 19th century, featuring an Italian-style garden that has become the famous Secret Garden. The hotel has hosted numerous notable figures from the international artistic and cultural scene.
