As Chief Human Resources Officer, Karin will be responsible for all aspects of HR management, including talent acquisition, performance enhancement, compensation strategies, succession planning, compliance, training and development, and social responsibility. Her leadership will ensure Kempinski remains a top choice for the world’s leading talent in the hospitality industry.

Karin brings over two decades of experience in Human Resources within the luxury goods and fashion sectors. Prior to joining Kempinski, she served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at LVMH in China, based in Shanghai since 2022. During her tenure, Karin led a dynamic team of over 35 HR leaders, driving initiatives that enhanced LVMH's human resources capabilities. She was also a member of the LVMH Global Tech Board, a key group dedicated to utilizing technology to transform HR practices.
Before her time in China, Karin held significant roles at LVMH, including Vice President of Talent Management and Corporate Social Responsibility in North America, based in New York City, and Global Head of Career Management at the LVMH headquarters in Paris. She also held the position of VP of Global Talent for Christian Dior Couture.
Karin earned a Master’s degree in Human Resources from ISC Paris and is a member of ISC Paris’s International Strategic Committee.
Karin’s appointment follows the recent arrival of Gordon Drake as Chief Financial Officer and Rasha Lababidi as Chief Product Officer, marking a new chapter for Kempinski Hotels.
