The Food & Beverage Analyst ensures accurate recipe costing, menu profitability, and variance analysis. This role collaborates with F&B, chefs, finance, and purchasing teams to optimize food costs and streamline reporting. The individual is responsible for but not limited to evaluating the effectiveness of existing pricing models and formulating data-driven solutions to increase sales and maximize profits. The Food & Beverage Analyst will work at both our Corporate Office & support on site when needed.
Responsibilities :
- Recipe Management: Update and standardize recipes.
- Technology Integration: Ensure accuracy of interactions between Toast and R365; maintain recipe data.
- Invoice & Discrepancy Review: Identify and resolve invoicing and purchasing errors.
- Reporting: Generate sales mix reports, monitor AvT performance, and ad hoc analyses.
- Meetings & Collaboration: Participate in menu engineering & variance calls, red flag reviews, and commissary discussions.
- Continually appraising inventory levels, shortages & overages.
- Collaborate and communicate with Operations and Executive management to ensure business goals are being met.
- Making operational recommendations on how to reduce inventory loss and change purchasing for menus and offerings based on department data.
- Standardizing reporting at each location to satisfy company needs.
- Frequently compile, review, and analyze price and purchasing trends and data to draft various reports, guidance documents, and templates.
- Responsible for menu item costing and real-time analysis and monitoring to maximize profitability.

Other Skills and Knowledge :
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude and a passion for the food and beverage industry.
- Experience: 2+ years in restaurant finance, F&B cost analysis, or menu engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in spreadsheet, and inventory management software (Meez, R365, or similar).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze cost variances, track COGS trends, and improve profitability through data insights.
Physical Demands And Work Environment:
- General office assignments-(typing), which lends itself to repetitive motion.
- Sitting in a stationary position for several hours within the day.
- Work well under pressure.
