POSITION SUMMARY:
The PR Executive will elevate the reputation and visibility of Corinthia Brussels locally, and towards the relevant feeder markets. In collaboration with the appointed PR agency, this role will be responsible for running the press office, managing media and influencer relations, and activating press worthy partnerships and events. The PR Executive will ensure the consistent communication of the Corinthia Brussels and its message house and ensure engaging on-brand programs for visiting press and KOLs.
Be part of the opening team for this exciting project in Brussels, working for Brussels’ most fabulous address, including a luxury hotel but so much more; from a 1000sqm spa, gastronomic restaurant and brasserie, to a members club and retail concept space. This role will have the unique opportunity to work across all the outlets during a truly exciting pre-opening phase.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Run PR activities for Corinthia Brussels and the various outlets including spa and restaurants, with the support of PR agency focused on enhancing brand awareness and reputation
· Manage the PR agency relationship including monthly meetings
· Identify and build relationships with key media both locally and in key feeder markets
· Identify relevant influencer and creator partnerships for both content and visibility for the various outlets of Corinthia Brussels, including efficient and timely management of incoming requests
· Assist in running the Corinthia Brussels’ press office in partnership with the PR agency including press release development and media/influencer relations
· Monthly reporting on press-clippings and influencer activity
· Work closely with the Social Media Executive to ensure key Corinthia moments, press coverage and events are fully activated and shared across social channels
· Develop press-worthy partnerships in close collaboration with the Brand & Partnerships Manager to elevate Corinthia Brussels’ positioning
· Organize and support hotel press trips and influencer stays including development of engaging program, and liaising with hotel team to ensure an exceptional experience
· Collaborate with the Social Media Executive to maximize the potential of PR & Social together to increase the visibility of Corinthia Brussels
· Ensure the Corinthia brand values and hotel positioning is consistently communicated, including keeping up to date hotel press kit & photography
· Continuously work to grow network of relevant and targeted media and KOLs, maintaining a comprehensive list of contacts
· Handle crisis communications and proactively address any potential reputation risks.
TALENT PROFILE
Experience:
· 3+ years in a similar communications role
· B2C experience in hospitality, retail or similar a plus
· Luxury and lifestyle experience preferred
· Experience working with luxury and lifestyle media
Skills & Knowledge:
· In-depth understanding of Benelux media market
· An experienced communicator and natural networker
· Outgoing with the ability to foster good relationships
· Strong understanding of influencer marketing, both paid and earned
· Creative copywriting and editing skills, understanding what makes a newsworthy story
· Understanding of the earned and paid media landscape
Education or Qualification:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or similar
Requirements:
· Fluency in spoken English, French & Dutch
