Maria Grazia Chiuri draws inspiration from the timeless style of Marlène Dietrich, the charismatic German actress who embodied both American and Parisian elegance. The collection reflects Dietrich's iconic androgynous allure with a dominance of black tones. Masculine elements, including ties, pleated wide-leg pants, and jackets, are elegantly reappropriated for women. Fabrics range from English menswear tweeds to contemporary interpretations of hammered satin, crushed velvet, and crepe, with lingerie details adding a touch of '40s glamour.
The runway's scenography features works by American artist Suzanne Santoro and feminist art collective Claire Fontaine, whose neon installations evoke feminist demonstrations of the past.
