ZIMMERMANN is one of Australia's most influential and respected fashion brands. Recently, we established a design office in Paris, and our next goal is to create a workshop within our Parisian Atelier. In this growth dynamic, we are looking for an experienced tailoring/soft tailoring model mechanic to join our team and contribute to this new project.
Within our workshop, you will be responsible for assembling soft tailoring and tailoring prototypes under the responsibility of the senior pattern maker. Your main tasks will include:
• Ensuring the creation of toiles, study pieces, and prototypes
• Providing technical solutions to facilitate assembly and save time
• Following assembly instructions
• Cutting all pattern pieces in various materials according to the technical instructions provided
• Working with different machines: sewing machine, overlocker, press
• Pressing during assembly and finishing
• Performing alterations
• Executing hand stitching and finishing operations
• Checking the fit of the model
• Performing regular maintenance of the workstation
