As a Commis de Cuisine at the Corinthia in Brussels, you will play a vital role in the preparation of the exquisite dishes of our establishment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Preparation of ingredients and execution of dishes, including setting up garnishes and transforming food products.
-Regular maintenance of the workstation, adhering to HACCP hygiene standards.

Health & Safety
· To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as stipulated by the Health and Safety Act and as applicable to your place of work. This will include the incumbent’s awareness of any specific hazards at the workplace.
· The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory.
· To report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to hotel procedure.
· To ensure that any accidents to staff, guests or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures.
· To attend statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning:
* Fire, Health and Safety
* Regulations, such as COHSS in the European Union, related to the control of substances hazardous to health.
* Risk assessments for your department
* Hotel Fire & Bomb Procedures

· As the hotel’s level of business varies considerably, there is a need for flexibility in attitude, approach and working hours.

Experience: Proven experience as a Commis or similar role, preferably within a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
Skills & Knowledge:
· Knowledge of culinary techniques, including food preparation, plating, and banquet service.
· Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of culinary excellence.
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
· Familiarity with HACCP standards and a demonstrated commitment to food safety and hygiene.
Requirements:
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Situé au cœur du quartier royal de Bruxelles, le Corinthia Brussels est un joyau de l’architecture Belle Époque.
