Reporting to the Events Manager, you will be responsible to sell (proactively and reactively) the event rooms and F&B outlets to new and existing clients.
You will handle and convert meetings, events and groups requests (telephone, internet and email) for all private event rooms. You will be responsible from start to end co-ordination, customer liaison, organization and for the delivery of outstanding events experience using all the hotel has to give. You will put group resume together and coordinating with the relevant department prior group arrival. You will ensure all sales opportunities are identified and effectively converted into bookings and additional revenue. You will issue Banquet Event Orders on a weekly basis and communicate to all departments including F&B and Banqueting about amendments, late bookings and special requirements.
The ideal candidate will be required to demonstrate passionate about driving and winning revenue. He / she will have methodical in planning the event. Required to have the ability to work on a busy environment and to handle different tasks at the same time as well as work independently and as part of the team. He / she will need to think clearly and quickly, as well as make conscientious decisions. Impeccable attention to detail is imperative, and the ability to prioritise, organise and follow up is of upmost importance.
To be successful in your application you will already have experience from within a luxury service environment along with an excellent understanding of the 5-star hospitality industry. You will be an immaculately presented individual who possesses authentic and impeccable customer service skills with your ability to engage with our guests being one of your greatest assets.
We encourage a diverse workforce however you will be required to have good levels of written and spoken English and be eligible to work in the UK. Fluency in a second language would be beneficial.
