We are looking for a passionate and innovative Duty Manager to join our team at The Lodge at Ashford Castle as part of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection.
Key Responsibilities of a Duty Manager:
- Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction and service quality.
- You will assist with the management of front and back-of-house operations during your shift and support the team to deliver exceptional service.
- Ensure all guests receive prompt, courteous attention and personalised service.
- Address guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner, striving for swift resolution and follow-up.
- Assist Heads of Departments (HODs) in coordinating daily tasks and ensuring that the hotel runs smoothly.
- Motivate, support, and lead the team on shift to meet hotel service standards.
- Ensure the hotel maintains compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations during your shift.
- Monitor areas for safety and cleanliness and ensure a safe, secure environment for guests and staff.
- Uphold the high standards of the hotel by monitoring the quality of service delivery, cleanliness, and overall guest experience.
- Support the achievement of key performance metrics, including guest satisfaction scores.
- Take responsibility for the hotel in the absence of senior management.
- Ensure that all departments are coordinated and functioning efficiently during your shift.
- Proactively anticipate and resolve operational issues.
- Manage guest challenges and concerns promptly and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
Profil recherché
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a luxury hotel environment or high-end establishment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support team members.
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A proactive and energetic approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments.
- A genuine desire to ensure that every guest has a memorable stay, with attention to detail and service excellence.
