Commis Chef – Luxury Hotel
We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Commis Chef to join the culinary team at our award-winning luxury hotel. Working under our Executive Head Chef, Liam Finnegan, this is an exceptional opportunity to develop your career within one of Ireland’s most iconic luxury destinations, delivering outstanding cuisine in line with Forbes Five-Star standards and The Red Carnation Hotels standards.
Location: Cong, County Mayo, Ireland.
Employment type: Full-Time.
Working pattern: 5 days over 7 days with 2 days off.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce food for your assigned section in line with agreed standards.
- Work collaboratively with senior chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards with care, precision, and attention to detail.
- Ensure all mise en place is fully prepared and ready for service.
- Minimise food wastage and support effective stock control.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in line with Health & Safety and HACCP requirements.
- Previous experience in a similar Commis Chef role.
- Experience in a four- or five-star hotel or fine dining environment is desirable.
- Strong awareness of food hygiene and health & safety practices.
- Good working knowledge of kitchen equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- A positive, punctual, reliable, and flexible attitude with a willingness to learn.
